Region of Murcia

The hectares of land used for vine cultivation are mainly distributed among Bullas, Jumilla and Yecla: the three denominations of origin of the Region. But the presence of vineyards in the regions of Abanilla and Campo de Cartagena also stands out, where they are marketed as "Vinos de la Tierra". The variety of soils and climates in the Region allows the production of a wide range of red, rosé and white wines. The typical wines of this area derive from the Monastrell grape variety, a red variety with small clusters, which in turn has the complementary varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Garnacha Tintorera, Merlot, Syrah and Tempranillo. The white wines are made from Macabeo, Airen, Pedro Ximénez, Malvasía and Chardonnay.
